PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: 04 June 2023

In a world awash in a sea of technology, we understand that privacy is both paramount and confusing.  Facebook, Google, and others seem to have us pinpointed to the second where we go.  When you use our various social media platforms, you are trusting us with your information. We work hard every day to ensure that you are protected, your information is protected, and that we have put you in control of the data you share with us.  That said, the limits of the information you share with us also impacts the deliverability of services and the quality of your user experience.

While a Privacy Policy is required for global compliance, we also include it to assist your understanding of what we collect, why we collect it, and separately how you can update, manage, export, and/or delete your information.   Because our platforms are in a constant state of improvement, you may need to contact us directly at admin@sellingisorganic.com to make specific requests.  Some functions may be turned off and on from time to time for system maintenance to enhance your user interactive experience.

Internet user privacy and confidentiality is important to Organic Selling LLC (“C&P”) and we respect your individual privacy. To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

If you have any questions about this policy or if you are concerned about how personal data is processed by C&P, please feel free to contact us through our website or email us at admin@sellingisorganic.com.  This Privacy Policy (‘Policy’) embodies our commitment to its protection through adherence to fair electronic information practices. You have our promise that we will not electronically process your personal information in any way that is incompatible with this Policy.

1.0  Information Collected During Purchase and/or Member Profile Creation

First and foremost, data collection is necessary to ensure the safety and sanctity of our online community.  By sharing your data with us, we are providing you with access to our social media platforms at no charge.  Further, we collect information to improve our services for all member-users.  Our systems gather data and information to help us make our sites, and the content that our platforms generate are user-centric and overall enhance the user experience.  As well, with some limitations the information C&P collects, and how that information is used, depends on how you use our services and how you manage your privacy controls as they are made available as features on our social media platforms.

When you’re not signed in to a C&P user profile, we do store the information you provided along with unique identifiers tied to your browser, your applications, and/or the devices that you are using.  This data collection helps us to improve the overall user interactive experience for each member-user.  When you’re signed in, we may also collect information that we will store with your C&P user profile, which we is also treated as personal information.

If you place an order online with us, which may include products and/or services such as merchandise or digital advertising, we utilize third-party e-commerce service provided by either PayPal.com, or via a shopping cart service enabled by one of, or a combination vendors that may or may not include and are not limited to WordPress, EcWid, Shopify, WooCommerce, Authorize.Net, PayPal and Stripe, Braintree Payments. Our shopping cart may keep credit card information as part of your product/donation registration and/or purchases and they are stored with the data processor. We keep information about purchasers in our database (name, email address, mailing address, phone…) to create a user profile to facilitate purchases, to access our social media platform(s), and as well to fulfill purchaser requests when necessary (lost program, keys…). C&P may use member-user profile and/or purchaser information to send information including but not limited to free upgrades, information about site usage, licenses, new platform releases, site and company products, site and company services, and/or special rebates. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties.  At our option, we may choose to joint venture with pre-selected and screened vendors through to their marketing lists and to current and former clients of our own.

By creating a member profile on any of our social media platforms, by purchasing our products or services, you obtain the protections of, and consent to the data processing practices described in, this Policy. When you purchase our services, you also represent to us that you have provided notice to, and obtained consent from, any third party individuals whose personal data you supply to us with regard to: (i) the purposes for which such third party’s personal data have been collected, (ii) the intended recipients or categories of recipients of the third party’s personal data, (iii) which of the third party’s data are obligatory and which data, if any, are voluntary, and (iv) how the third party can access and, if necessary, rectify the data held about them.

When you join and set up a C&P member-user profile, you are providing us with limited personal information that should include your name, an email, a phone number and a password. When creating a member-user profile we do not ask you to provide payment information to your account at that time. Even if you are not signed into a C&P member-user profile, you might choose to provide us with information — like an email address to receive updates about our services.  We also collect the content you create, upload, or receive from others when using our social media platform(s) as this information resides on the platform.  This includes things such as posts and updates that you write, comments that you make and receive, photos and videos you upload to the platform(s), documents, and spreadsheets you create, and comments you make on other member-user profiles, their posts, and activity that may also include groups.

In addition to the privacy protections that we provide, our employees, agents and business partners are independently responsible for ensuring compliance with this Privacy Policy.

2.0 Collection and use of personal information.

C&P is the sole owner of the information collected on this site, as well as any other platform(s) and/or websites that we own, service and maintain. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to third parties in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. Unless the user provides it voluntarily, C&P does not collect any personally identifiable information about visitors of the website beyond what is requested to create a member-user profile. Some pages permit visitors to request additional information. Visitors are able to e-mail messages to C&P that will contain the user’s name and e-mail address, as well as any additional information the user may wish to include in the message. C&P uses the information visitors provide about themselves to fulfill those visitors’ requests. E-mail addresses are used to answer messages received.

3.0 Information Collected During Registration

During registration of a member-user profile, purchase of products online (after purchase), and the selective purchase of digital services such as advertising, member-users specify limited information about themselves. C&P may use this information to provide notices of new information that may be of use or interest to users. This may include newsletters, tutorials, website update notices, or notification on the availability of new products, and product updates. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others. Occasionally a user may be asked to provide a statement, provide a reference, authorize a quote or testimonial, or participate in a press release or case study. No user is obligated to provide any details about the product or its use. No statements will be taken or used without prior written consent.

We use information about you for purposes of monitoring and improving our internal operations, as well as to ensure we: (i) bill you properly, (ii) administer your account in accordance with your agreements with us, and (iii) properly perform the services you have requested.

We also use the information we collect to monitor and improve our internal operations, as well as to improve the experience of users on our site(s). For example, we may correlate Web site traffic information with data about individual users. This data helps us to determine how much our customers use parts of the site, allowing us to enhance it to fit the needs of as many of our customers as possible. We may also break down overall usage statistics according to customers’ domain names, browser types, and MIME types by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user’s browser).

4.0 Additional information that we collect as you use our services

When available we collect information about the apps, browsers, and devices that you use when accessing C&P platform(s) and website(s).  This data makes it possible to provide features like automatic product updates and other technology enhancements as they become available on our platform(s).

The information we collect may include and is not limited to unique identifiers, browser type and settings, device type and settings, operating system, mobile network information including carrier name and phone number, and application version number. We also collect information about the interaction of your apps, browsers, and devices with our services, including IP address, crash reports, system activity, and the date, time, and the referrer URL of your request.

This information is collected on C&P servers when a C&P service on your device connects with our servers — for example, when you install an app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, or when your device checks for automatic updates for C&P services. Please be advised that if you are using an Android device with Google apps, then your device periodically contacts Google servers to provide information about your device and connection to our services.  The same is true when using an Apple device and their servers.  This information includes but is likely not limited to things like your device type, carrier name, crash reports, and which apps you have installed.

5.0 Regarding your activity as a Member-User

C&P collects information about your activity in our services, which we use to do things like recommend a video, articles, and/or groups that you might like. The activity information we collect when you use our platform(s) may include, and is not strictly limited to:

  • Views and interactions with content and ads
  • Purchase activity
  • Videos you watch
  • Terms you searched for
  • Voice and audio information when you use audio features
  • People with whom you communicate or share content
  • Activity on third-party sites and apps that use our services

If you use C&P platform(s) and/or services to make and receive calls or send and receive messages, we may collect call and message log information like your phone number, calling-party number, receiving-party number, forwarding numbers, sender and recipient email address, time and date of calls and messages, duration of calls, routing information, and types and volumes of calls and messages.

Like other web service providers such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter, we also utilize the data we collect for analytics and measurement to understand how our platform(s) and the associated services are being used. For example, we may analyze data about your visits to our various platform(s) and websites to enhance our services including but not limited to optimizing product designs & service delivery. C&P also uses data about ads you interact with to assist advertisers in understanding the performance of their ad campaigns to improve your overall user interactive experience.

We may use a variety of tools to do this, including Google Analytics as well as cPanel statistics. When you visit sites that use Google Analytics, a Google Analytics customer may choose to enable Google to link information about your activity from that site with activity from other sites that use our ad services.

When we communicate with you, we are using data that you provided to us which may include but is not limited to your email, your address, and your phone number.  We utilize this info that you voluntarily provided to interact with you directly. For example, we may send you a notification if we detect suspicious activity, to send you a validation request to double opt-in confirm your wanting to access and use our platform(s), or such as an attempt to sign into your C&P account from an unusual location. Also, we may also let you know about upcoming changes or improvements to our services. Should you choose to contact C&P, we will keep a record of your request to help solve any issues you might be facing.  No disclosures of your personal and private data may be disclosed to another party, including any local, state, or federal (national) authority without either your explicit written permission or as required by statute or law.

Should counsel indicate that there is a probable Constitutional violation through disclosure to any authority, then C&P will engage counsel to advise the authorities of the same.

Last, as it relates to the content that you share on our platform, beyond outright fraudulent activity and notices which are covered by existing statutory laws at the state and federal levels, C&P operates in accordance with the Millennia old standard of CAVEAT EMPTOR. In layman’s terms this means “Buyer Beware.”

What does this mean for our member-users?

While C&P utilizes the assistance of independent and/or employed administrators and moderators to assist in the overall member-user interactive experience, as a general rule C&P does not employ what has become known as “fact checkers.”  C&P expects that member-users will use their intellect, wisdom and experience gained from their education and experience, as well as their interaction with others whether on or off platform, to decide for themselves, what content has merit, what content should be avoided, and what content should be submitted for review for deletion.

In general, the policy of C&P as an open platform is to allow users to express themselves as they enjoy their 1st Amendment freedoms guaranteed by the US Constitution and the American Bill of Rights.  We recognize that some of these beliefs and principles may conflict with international users and the regulatory environment that they live in.  Because this site is a United States owned entity, based in the State of Florida, any jurisdictional issue regarding the usage and expression of the member-users shall be interpreted in accordance with this specific jurisdiction and no other.  Opening a website portal from another geography does not change the jurisdictional nature of the ownership and location for C&P, and its platforms.  C&P hereby thus rejects any international governing authority as outside the purview of the state of Florida and the United States of America.

The only content that C&P directly intervenes and removes is content that is explicit without limitation in regards to the following:

  • Nudity, including that which is presented as art
  • Pornography, especially as it relates to child pornography
  • Illegal/illicit drug use
  • Criminal activity such as prostitution, extortion, and fraud (in all its forms)
  • Conversation and comments that threaten or intimate direct violence
  • Terroristic threats, whether practicable or not
  • Threats of violence, the discussion of violence or the coordination of violence as it relates to individuals, authorities, private and or public entities.
  • Excessive use of expletives, especially as it relates to the denigration of another member-user.
  • Anyone promoting the censorship of ideas will be considered for deletion by a Board of Member-Users to be reviewed by C&P at its discretion.
  • C&P reserves the right to remove any member-user profile associated with any of the forgoing, and as well, may also alert authorities to the prospect of illegal activity regarding the same.

6.0  Why does C&P Collect User Data?

We use data collection to help us create and deliver improved services for a better member-user interactive experience.  We may use various technologies to collect and store information, including but not limited to cookies, Google pixel tags, Facebook pixels, local storage, such as browser web storage or application data caches, databases, and server logs.

We use the information we collect from all our services to provide, deliver, and develop services for our member-users.  We utilize data collected to enable delivery of our services, such as proposing other members to connect to, groups to join and participate in, and articles or posts you may want to consume.

For C&P to be able to maintain & improve our services, we may also use your information to ensure our services are working as intended, such as tracking outages or troubleshooting issues that you report to us. And we use your information to make improvements to our services — for example, understanding which components are working well and which ones create server slowdowns and/or timeouts to improve the user interactive experience across our services.

We gather data and information to help us develop and deliver new components to existing platform(s) and to update, improve or add more services for our member-users.

To ensure that the member-user interactive experience is as customized as possible, we do our best to provide personalization of ads for services, including content and ads.

Using the information we collect allows us to customize our services for you, including providing recommendations, personalized content, and personalized ads whenever possible.

Depending on your settings, we may also show you ads that appear to be based on your site-activity that shows interests, hobbies, and passions. For example, if you join a group about marketing online, you may see an ad for online marketing providers.  We also work hard to ensure that the advertisements selected are not in categories that many in every day society would find repulsive.

  • We elect not to show you personalized ads based on sensitive categories including but not limited to things such as race, religion, sexual orientation, or health.
  • We also elect not to share information that identifies you personally and directly with advertisers, such as your name or email, unless you ask us to.

Transmission of sensitive information is encrypted to our digital payment processor(s) and their associated vendor(s) and C&P (e.g., credit card numbers, account passwords) in the interest of heightened privacy protection and information integrity. Transactions within online data and payment processing services use purchase flows which include the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption when transmitting data from your connection to their systems.

C&P is committed to taking the necessary steps to protect ourselves, our member-users, and the public at large.

C&P collects a wide range of data, date and use info to assist in improving safety and the long-term reliability of our platform(s). We use a combination of monitored and automated systems to analyze content to offer things like a customized list of things on the platform(s) you may want to join or use, interest-focused ads, or other user-enhanced features designed to enhance or improve your member interactive experience.
